Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships for non-EU citizens

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania — Directorate for Cultural Diplomacy, Education and Science presents its compliments to the diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest and has the honor to announce the launching of the 2025-2026 academic year Programme for the scholarships granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania to foreign citizens based on the Government Decision No.288/1993. According to the Programme’s rules of procedure, each candidate will submit personally, between 29January 2025 – 12 March 2025, a unique online application for a scholarship.

Candidates can access the online platform at https:/studyinromania.gov.ro, via the Apply the MFA Scholarships button, or directly at https:/scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro. The platform can be accessed both in English and in French.

Applications submitted directly by the applicants to the registry offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education, or to the e-mail addresses of the MFA employees / departments of the MFA Headquarters, or to the Romanian diplomatic missions or the foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest, will not be taken into consideration.

Each candidate will create an account on the StudyinRomania platform, will fill in the requested data and upload the required documents.

The results of the scholarship selection process will be announced by e-mail around 30™ of June 2025 to every candidate who applied for a scholarship.

Please note that scholarships are not awarded in the fields of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy.
